    Akai GX 280D-SS Surround (4 Channel) Stereo Tape Recorder/Deck
    Purchased on an auction.  Owner claims it worked when he used it last.
    Powers up.  Needles move.  All knobs turn freely.  I'm going to guess there nothing is wrong with it but I am:
