    Description

    I have this vintage Akai GX-255 Auto Reverse Reel To Reel Take Deck in working condition yet needs servicing to operate at peak level. Input level pot's inner shaft is broken. In record mode both left and right shafts move evenly for equal record levels. The right channel plays in MOMO mode. Reason is a bad transistor is not making stereo mode play. See last pic for the replacement transistors that are needed. There is a YouTube video that shows this unit being repaired. This deck is in very good condition with a ding scratch by the take up reel. The demo Doors tape IS NOT INCLUDED. The TDK metal take up reel IS included. Sold in pictured as is condition for repair.
