Vintage '70s Ampex AG-440C 1/4" Reel Tape Recorder Deck DC Servo version

Description

This AG-440C is the four-speed capable DC servo-controlled capstan version, and thus may hold more value in its parts than in its current condition as a whole, but that's up to you! It's sustain some wear and tear over the years, and is somewhat cosmetically challenged.
It has the typical erase/record/playback head configuration in slots 1, 3, and 4. Heads should be cleaned as last service or maintenance date is unknown.
The takeup idler arm is somewhat bent, and has corrosion on the surface. There was a VIF pinch roller on the machine that clearly has disintegrated into bits. The control box bottom panel retaining screws are loose and thus the panel is not affixed, but of course it is included.
Nothing else is included with this transport, no connectors or cables that aren't shown hardwired to the rear of the unit.
