Teac A-3440 with RC-70 Remote and RX-9 DBX -- Completely Sam Palermo Serviced

EXCEPTIONAL COMPLETE PACKAGE
TEAC A-3440 -- I purchased this deck in 1978 for professional use in the audio-visual field where it was used for about 6-7 years, primarily for playback. As that business evolved, the deck was taken out of service around 1985 and has been in climate controlled storage for the last 35 years. About two years ago it was sent to one of the best R2R technicians around, Mr. Sam Palermo in Chicago for a complete service returning it to as-new condition. Please note the picture of all the parts he replaced and you should feel confident THIS is a properly and thoroughly serviced deck. Of course Sam inspected the heads and found them to be in excellent condition and the record head to be like new with almost no signs of wear.
TEAC RC-70 -- The remote was purchased with the deck and is also in proper operating condition. It's quite handy for production work at a sound console when mixing and layering tracks using the deck's SYNC ability.
TEAC RX-9 -- The DBX unit is a PRO-oriented component that completes the package and offers an additional noise reduction of -30-40 dBs. Although it hasn't been restored, I've used it over the last year for both recording and playback and can confirm it's also in proper operating condition.
SHIPPING -- Local pickup strongly recommended. And to facilitate that, I am willing to drive up to 350 miles to meet/deliver the package for only the cost of shipping. However, if shipping is necessary, new, double boxed with a double wall outer box will be used. Inside custom rigid foam factory-like supports will insure proper protection for this heavy item.
