Sonic Aire Super Deluxe 4 Transistor Reel to Reel Tape Recorder Player RARE

This is an extremely rare and hard to find Sonic Aire Super Deluxe 4 Transistor Reel to Reel recorder & player. Made in Japan. It is in pretty decent cosmetic condition, with the exception of some surface scratches and normal wear.
I did put batteries in it. (It takes 1 Size D & 1 9 volt battery). Everything moves as it should, but it took a little coaxing. With a good cleaning and lube, it will likely work great. Play, FF, Rewind all work. The volume control works, although all I could hear through the earpiece was static. I did not test the recording function. I'm not sure how to do it. Comes with what appears to be the original microphone & earpiece, and the reel of tape. Not sure if there is anything on this, but I listened to it for quite a while and only heard static.
