Revox B77 MKI tape recorder. Condition is "Used". This is the Revox B77 MKI high speed version. It operate at 7.5ips and 15ips; it is a 2-Track/Half Track reel to reel tape recorder. This Recorder was Just restored, serviced, and tested. Here are the details:
A. Totally Recapped, meaning all electrolytic
capacitors were replaced.
B.The three motor run capacitors were replaced.
C. Nichicon audio capacitors were installed in the signal paths.
D. Defective transtors were replaced.
E. Tape guide bearing was replaced.
F. Takeup and supply motors were rebuilt and new bearings were installed.
G. Capstan motor rebuilt.
H. Pinch roller replaced.
I. The Erase, Record, and Playback heads were inspected and tested and they are in excellent condition.
J. A Digital Counter was installed.
K. A Pause Module was installed.
M. The B77 was calibrated and tested to Revox Service Manual standard and specifications.
MRL 21T204 calibration tape used for calibration and the recorder was calibrated for Recording The Master LPR90 tape.
N. The upper section of the front cover was painted in Graphite Grey, and back cover painted in dark bronze. This deck looks stunningly nice, and every function works properly like new.
Note1: The Pause Module was installed to allow the deck to pause and stay pause by pressing the pause button once and let go. Originally you have to keep pressing the pause button for the reel motors to remain still, which is very inconvenient especially when doing recordings. Now you can press pause and let go.
Note 2: The Digital Counter is installed to accurately keep track of the tape movement, especially if you are editing tapes or making recordings.
Note 3: The reels are not included. Power cord, two Revox Hubs, and one takeup reel are included.
