For sale is an OTARI MX-5050 B-2HD 2/4 Track Reel to Reel tape deck recorder. It is in good condition albeit with some minor scuffs and marks as shown. It has been tested and the heads were cleaned and demagnetized for the best sound ever. The mic inputs were tested and they work as well as the other inputs. The pots and switches were sprayed and the metal parts were lubed as well. Both channels work good as well. The sound when recording at 7 1/2 IPS is very clear and better and wider sounding than the Source recording from, depending on the type of tape used and even better at 15 PS. This deck has the 3 3/4 IPS speed function, via internal switch and a 4 track head in case you want to play those pre recorded 4 track tapes. It plays but DOES  NOT record 4 track tapes, just 2 track. The heads are also in very good shape which is obviously why the quality is awesome as well. Hub adapters INCLUDED! The deck is currently set at the 15 IPS-7 1/2 IPS speed function. Please understand A good amount of time and effort was put into testing and servicing this deck to ensure that it works when the buyer receives it and to ensure this is a "one and done" deal.
Local pickup is strongly recommended for those who are not very far from Central NC to save on shipping costs!
NOTE TO WATCHERS: the price is 2499.99. Dont expect any large price reduction! The shipping is 0 which ALSO includes secure packing by Fedex and the weight of the deck accounts for the shipping cost. This item will be packed extremely well so it arrives in one piece. Shipping insurance will also be added to cover both myself and the buyer in the event something should happen during shipment rendering the deck inoperable. Pictures of any damage will be needed for any claims. DO NOT discard the packing material and box!
A Pre shipment video of each deck operating properly will be filmed for both my protection and the buyer's and it may be sent to the buyer at anytime. This illustrates PROOF that the deck was working when it left here as an effort to prevent false claims and fraudulent returns. The buyer agrees to this term upon purchasing.
If a problem arises whether the item arrives damaged or somethings wrong, please SEND A MESSAGE VIA EBAY MEMBER TO MEMBER so I can attempt to rectify the issue. DO NOT OPEN A RETURN REQUEST!  This is considered an act of hostility, a disruption to my workflow and should only be used as a last resort if a seller is unresponsive. There is NO disrespect intended here, quite the contrary! Any issues that arise can be just as easily resolved just by communicating. Proof of any issues that do arise may also be requested (via video or pictures) so I can see what the buyer is talking about and determine the best course of action to resolve them. My stellar selling record speaks for itself and I have plenty of happy customers who like what theyve purchased from me and happy with the way I helped them resolve any issues that came up. If these terms cannot readily agreed to when it comes to resolving issues, then the best thing to do would be to purchase a tape deck elsewhere and save both of us future hassles.
