    Description

    Here is a vintage
    Pioneer RT-2044 Four Track recording system.
    It includes
    One RTU-11 reel to reel transport with a JT-2044, four channel head system.
    Two TAU-11 two channel amplifier and control units.
    Two ten inch Pioneer reel hubs.
    One Maxell and one Scotch 10 inch metal reels.
    Two power cords and two 16 pin connector cords.
    The RTU-11 unit basic functions,-- pause, play, record, ff, and reverse, work as they should. No further testing has been done.
    Both TAU-11 units work as they should.  Each unit has one nonworking meter lamp.
    This system was used by Minnesota Public Radio to record live performances for the show "St. Paul Sunday Morning".  The show aired on many public radio stations around the country for many years.
    I purchased this system from the sound tech for the show about 10 years ago.  It has seen very little use since I have owned it.
    I'm sure it could use a tune up.  Some Deoxit would take care of some minor scratchiness from dust and dirt in the controls on the TAU-11 units and maybe new belts for the RTU.
    Cosmetically, the faceplates are in nice condition but there is some age spotting.
    The case is very solid and in good condition but has some vinyl loss around the corners and edged and some scratches on the handle.
    All of this equipment is being sold as is, as described and as pictured.
