Pioneer RT-909 reel to reel tape deck.
Original 10" reel adapters are included in this sale. No other reels or tape will be included.
Condition - fully serviced, refurbished.
Serviced - including full recap on mother assembly board RWX-340 ( picture#5 ), heads cleaned, demagnetized, pinch roller lifter assembly taken apart, cleaned and lubed ( picture#6 ), both micro switch replacement ( picture#7 and it should be done with every belt replacement. Them usually are the same age as a deck itself and those switches makes deck to spin. If one of them goes bad you have a really expensive and big paper weight on your hands ). Belt replacement and old left over broken rubber clean up ( picture#8 ), motor drive assembly recapped board ( picture#9 ), capstan motor control assembly board RWC-105 full recap ( picture#10 ), pre amplifier assembly RWF-088 board full recap ( picture#12 )
Not pictured but done - all three output gain and both mic and source potentiometers unsoldered, unseated, cleaned, re-soldered. Now left and right inputs and outputs can be adjusted by hand. Usually those switches are frozen as one and there is no way to separate left and right if desired. Switch work can be seen in picture#5
Tape testion - checked, adjusted
Deck was idling for very long time, all metal sides and table reels were covered in rust spots, scratches so new paint job was done for black coverings and reel tables were taken apart, cleaned and painted in silver color. Picture#11
Performance - real quiet, has strong FF/REW, playback/recording sounds good, every dial and push button command responds.
