Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel Tape Deck for restore needs serviced

Description

Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel Tape Deck for restore needs serviced. This player is in great cosmetic condition. The front is excellent and the top has one corrosion spot. With a little attention could look near mint. There is some very slight corrosion on the spindles. I will not clean for fear of doing more harm than good. An experienced tech could make this look near mint easily.  Looking thru the vents it looks clean inside. No evidence that this was ever in a smokers house. I have owned this for several years , but I will never get it serviced. I also own an rt 2022 which works and it suits my needs.
This tape player will not advance the tape in play mode. It will fast forward and reverse though.
When i push play i can hear a solenoid and  the tape will jerk and not advance. I hooked it to a receiver and advanced the tape by hand in play mode and i got strong sound in both channels.This player is being sold as is with no return.
Intended for an experienced technician or if you know one that will make this classic player right.
I am not a technician , but I will try to answer all questions.
