  • Condition: It does power up and both guages light up and it runs but it blows the 2.5 Amp fuse when you hit the directional buttons. It is clean and great cosmetically. All of the buttons, levers etc seem to work good. It has been sitting for awhile so i imagine it needs a good tuneup.

    PICKUP ONLY-Akai GX-400 D Reel to Reel Tape Player Glass X’TALB Ferrite Hesds Powers Up. This was purchased at an estate sale of a radio enthusiast in rural Ohio. This was still hooked up in an outbuilding/radio shop full of ham radios etc. still connected for use because you couldn’t get a cell signal. It appeared to be a source of entertainment. It powers up and both meters light up and it runs but when you push any of the directional buttons,(ffwd, play etc.), it blows the 2.5 amp fuse on the back. It is in great shape cosmetically. All the buttons appear to work good and all the levers etc, are in good shape. It appears to have never left the building. It needs a good tuneup after sitting in this building for years.
