These original Akai reels look nearly new! If you want two reels that will really make your reel to reel machine shine and catch the eye, then these are the ones for you!
These two reels have been fully disassembled for cleaning and inspection. Every single piece of these reels were cleaned, including the plastic center cores (to remove tape residue.) Even the original screws and backside barrel nuts are in gorgeous shape! We guarantee that our work places the quality of these reels above and beyond your typical Akai metal reels found anywhere else.

These are used reels and will contain extremely minor evidence of being used with tiny scratching and an almost unnoticeable warping of the metal when viewed from the side. Both reels will come in their original Akai R-7M factory boxes with new plastic protection sleeves. The factory boxes are in very good condition, have storage wear, as pictured, but contain no writing and firmly protect the reels for storage.
