Antique Silver Plate Ashtray Ornate Ind Argentina Rep Sheffield Rodin ca. 1890's

Description

I am pleased to offer an antique ornate silver plated ashtray.  This piece is hand tooled in the center with a crest and a lion on top.  The chased design is highlighted with a gold tone.  The border has a lovely shell and swag embossed motif that encircles the tray.  The back is marked, "Ind Argentina Rep Sheffield Rodin" (with a stamped image of Rodin's famous "The Thinker" statue) along with a pattern number "1081".  This piece dates to ca. 1880-1900.
Measures 6.75" long x 5.75" w.
The gold highlighting on top is worn in places and the back shows some wear to the silver.  Overall very nice condition, especially for its age.
