1957 Craftsman 05191 Vise. Beautiful!.
Probably the nicest condition 05191 that I’ve ever seen. This beauty is lightly used and internals are pristine and freshly lubed. These vises don’t come up all too often, and when they do, people ask big bucks for them and they are NEVER this nice. I’d be sad to see her go, so don’t feel compelled to bid. If you don’t buy her, I get to keep her longer. OK with me. But if you do, you’ll be getting a real sweetheart that will be good to work hard for you and likely the next generation. The only flaw is that the replaceable jaws must have been used to clamp round stock and there are a few small compression spots on the jaws. Thats it. Otherwise she’s all “perfect”. Date stamped 5/57. Her 64th birthday is coming up, so act now if you want to celebrate together.
